Dr. Lorenz graduated from Oklahoma State University with his DVM degree in 1969. He completed an internship and residency at Cornell University (1969-1972). In 1972 he joined the faculty at the University of Georgia where he served as associate dean for academic affairs. In 1988, he became Dean of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University. In 1997, he returned to his Alma mater as associate dean for academic affairs. Dr. Lorenz became Acting Dean of Veterinary Medicine in 2001 and Dean in 2004. He returned to full time faculty duties August 1, 2011. Dr. Lorenz continues his classroom and clinical teaching focused on the disciplines of neurology and dermatology.
